Kevan Slater,
CLS
Kevan has spent the last decade as a senior technical
consultant improving the reliability of industrial equipment for numerous
companies throughout North America, including assisting Ontario Powers
Pickering Nuclear Generating plant. Extensive in the field
experience has seen Kevan spear-head equipment maintenance audits, surveys and
the development of in-house oil analysis programs. The result has been an
increase in the reliability and performance of rotating equipment for many
leading organizations. Kevan is a popular speaker with over 10 years of
experience teaching college level courses, and providing public and private
courses on fluid power, lubrication, lubrication management and oil analysis
throughout North America. He is well known in the lubrication and maintenance
fields as an author and presenter of numerous technical papers and
presentations.

Paul Dufresne, CMRP
Paul has worked for Georgia-Pacific in their Pulp & Paper Business as a Reliability Leader for the last three years. He has an extensive background in vibration analysis, lubrication management, infrared thermography, airborne ultrasonic technology, reliability centered maintenance methodologies, root cause analysis and reliability program implementations using the MAINTelligence software. Prior to working for Georgia-Pacific, Paul spent 10 years in the United States Army as a Non-commissioned Officer and Commissioned Officer in the Armor Branch, with an extensive background in the maintenance and operation of the M1A1 Main Battle Tank and Fleet Vehicle Maintenance. Paul is a Distinguished Military Graduate from the University of Central Florida.

Ray Thibault, CLS, OMA
Ray
holds both B.S. and M.S. degrees in Chemistry. In 2001 he retired from the
Exxon Company after 31 years of developing lubrication programs and providing
technical support for customers such as Dow Chemical, Koch Refining, Chevron,
Texaco, Sinclair, Eastman Chemical, and many others. He has conducted extensive
training in different industries and is a STLE-Certified Lubrication Specialist
and Oil Monitoring Analyst. Ray currently conducts numerous training classes
throughout the U.S. and Canada preparing individuals for the Certified
Lubrication Specialist (CLS) exam sponsored through the Society of Tribologist
and Lubrication Engineers (STLE).

Mike Johnson, CMRP, CLS, MLT
Mike has 22 years of practical experience in the field of industrial lubrication and equipment reliability management. He has assisted in developing reliability improvement strategies and implementing reliability centered machine lubrication programs for many well known multi-national manufacturers, including Cargill, International Paper, Ford Motors, Goodyear, General Mills, Saturn, Southdown, Chemetals, Arcadian Group, Diesel Recon, and many others.
Mike has an extensive background in theoretical and practical tribology, and uses this knowledge assisting organizations that want to improve machine reliability through training, in-plant coaching, failure analysis, and through advice and support developing standards for precision lubrication practices.
He is well known in the industrial lubrication and equipment reliability management fields as an author and presenter of numerous technical and business articles at public and private seminars in Europe and North America. Mike continues to provide technical articles and expertise for publication through the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers’ (STLE) ‘Tribology Transactions’ and Reliability Web’s ‘Uptime Magazine’.
