Operator Driven Reliability (ODR) Training
This one-day course is designed to provide a basic overview of lubrication management and how operator driven reliability can increase equipment effectiveness by reducing unplanned downtime.

Course Focus
- Fundamentals of lubricating oils and greases
- Physical properties and additives of lubricants
- Correct lubricant for application
- Effects of contamination – water, dirt, and wear metals
- Proper storage, handling, dispensing and disposal as it relates to operations
- Signs of problems and correct course of action (e.g. oil appearance, bearing temperature, incorrect oil level, incorrect grease quantity, grease compatibility issues).
- Oil changes – when, why and proper procedure
- Safety – MSDS, oil changes, re-greasing, and hazards
