National Account Manager
Trico Corporation is hiring strong sales producers with a track record of success in consultative sales and the sale of services. This outside sales position is responsible for generating sales of lubrication management services and products to the in-plant reliability and maintenance professionals of leading companies in the process industry market segment. The position requires regular nationwide travel (approx. 50%), to end user facilities to discover lubrication management needs, provide solutions to these needs, and generate profitable sales. A minimum of 10 years experience in industrial lubrication or fluid power sales is required for consideration – strong preference will be given to candidates with a verifiable record of success in the sale of services, or other intangible products to process industries.
Position Duties, Requirements and Benefits:
- Reports directly to the Sales Manager.
- Focus is on profitable sales growth of lubrication management services and products.
- Responsible for managing specified target industry including end users, distributors, and OEM customers.
- Primary communications conduit between Trico and the customer.
- Maintain intimate awareness of assigned customers in the areas of service needs, product needs, applications, personnel, locations, sales volumes, etc.
- Discovery and comprehension of significant industry factors including - competitive services, products, regulations, trends, customer needs, and pricing.
- Coordinate service delivery, technical and application assistance as required.
- Maintain full awareness of all Trico sales and marketing activities through regular attendance of company sales meetings and study.
- Manage target industry segment, prepare forecasts, and develop growth strategies.
- Demonstrate services and product knowledge mastery by obtaining industry certifications.
- Support quotation and proposal efforts.
- Conduct professional presentations.
- Maintain Trico’s customer contact database.
- Foster a team environment with all associates.
- A minimum of a BSME or similar, plus 10 years relevant industry experience - or 15 years relevant industry experience.
- Industry leading compensation and benefits package for an industry leading candidate.
- Relocation is not required – close proximity to major airport is a definite plus.
